This extraordinary play is the story of five
unmarried sisters eking out their lives in a
small village in Ireland in 1936. We meet
them at the time of the festival of Lughnasa,
which celebrates the pagan god of the harvest
with drunken revelry and dancing. Their spare
existence is interrupted by brief, colorful bursts
of music from the radio, their only link to the
romance and hope of the world at large.
Winner of the 1992 Tony Award for Best Play,
the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Broadway
Play and the New York Drama Critics Circle
Award for Best Play.
Chosen by Time magazine as one of the ten
best plays for 1991, saying it is "The most
elegant and rueful memory play since The
Glass Menagerie."

2010 Season Get Acquainted Meeting

Please join us for our annual Get Acquainted Meeting for the 2010 Summer Season.
The directors for the upcoming season's shows will give a brief overview of their show and what they envision it will be and discuss what technical positions they would like additional voluteers to fill.
There will also be an opportunity to speak with the directors plus there will be activities & refreshments.
The meeting is open to anyone intersted in learning more about becoming invovled as a volunteer as a performer or technician.
Part-time seasonal employment at CST
Corn Stock Theatre is accepting applications for part-time seasonal employment for the summer of 2010. These positions are basically maintenance jobs — responsible for the keeping the grounds and facilities clean, secure and well-maintained. Applicants should be in good physical condition and at least 16 years of age. (Applicants for the overnight position must be 18 or older.) For further information, call 676-2196.
